July 7th - World Chocolate Day

World Chocolate Day is celebrated on July 7th because it is believed that it was on this date, around 1520, that cocoa, and from it the chocolate drink, arrived in Europe, specifically in Spain, by the Spanish conquerors who discovered it in Central America.

From then on, chocolate, from a bitter drink, as consumed by the first Mesoamerican civilizations, began to be consumed in its solid format, with added ingredients, such as vanilla and honey, and years later milk, birthing the chocolate we know today.

It began to become popular and spread around the world, becoming one of the most loved foods globally.

Its popularity is related to a list of nutritional benefits, meanings, and messages it can carry, and of course, flavor, aroma, and textures that take your breath away?

It's worth a chocolate celebration today, for so many years of history of this food! It deserves its day!

Tell us here how you are going to celebrate!
